Safeway's beloved @modkat box, remade with red oak. 18 months of play made the original cardboard pretty ragged, but the ping pong ball has stayed strong. I learned a bunch of woodworking tricks and Safeway approves of the results. 1) Finished product, so effin etsy ready. 2) First jointed wood. Can't see the line, can ya Russ? 3) First fit up, not even a box yet. 4) Chamfered corners are silly but seem fine for this. 5/6) Hole cutting jig, used the cardboard from the original cardboard box to router the jig and then reproduce the holes on the finished product. 7) Rabbeted edges on the top and bottom. 8) Glue-up practice. 9) Need more clamps. 10) Safeway giving approval before the finishing touches of round over router work and some mineral oil to bring out the wood's color.
